HUANG XU specialises in capturing extreme close-ups of objects within a studio, employing architectural scanning equipment. He meticulously composes remarkable suites of photographic images that address the evolving structure of Chinese culture. Infused with sensuality, boldness and elegance, the artist’s floral iconography serves as a lens to explore ideas of mortality, seduction, vulnerability, and contradiction.
