Rose Farrell (1949–2015) and George Parkin (1949–2012) collaborated from 1984 to 2012, producing enigmatic performative photography and video art. Their significance in Australian art became apparent early in their careers, earning them national and international recognition as a pioneering collaborative duo. Their works explore the mysteries of the human psyche and the fragility of our existence, poignantly articulating what Farrell and Parkin have described as, “the perilous journey that humans take throughout life”.
