Congratulations to CYRUS TANG for her selection as a finalist in the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize 2026. TANG was selected for her recent video work, 'Eclipsed Presence'.
'In our rapidly evolving modern world, traditional crafts are gradually fading, eclipsed by the march of industrialization and mass production. This project seeks to recontextualize these time-honored practices within a contemporary framework, engaging in a dialogue between absence and presence, disappearance and resurgence.' - excerpt from TANG's artist statement.
The exhibition is the highest-value art prize for women in Australia and includes prizes across Professional Artist, Emerging Artist and Indigenous Emerging Artist Categories, as well as a People's Choice Award and Highly Commended Awards.
