Twenty years of Cyrus Tang's practice is being celebrated in The Memory Palace, an exhibition at Hawthorn's Town Hall Gallery from July 26 to 21 October 2023.
Tang is fascinated by the paradox of reconstructing ephemeral mental images and sensations in permanent materials. The result is hauntingly beautiful works that often memorialise collective experiences.
