Dani Marti is currently working on a commission for the new Courthouse in Newcastle. Titled Midden, the large scaled concrete formwork wall extents over 60 square meters constructed from dark grey concrete, the sculptural wall is informed by abstraction and simplicity with sensual curves contrasting with the glass wall entrance and rigid angles of the building.

NIKE SAVVAS has recently completed a major public art piece for the Macquarie Group in Sydney. This kaleidoscopic artwork consists of thousands of vibrant kinetic suspended, dual coloured discs that immerse the viewer in a continuous shifting mass of colours, intimating the subtle movement and changing colours that unfold during the spectacular Australian sunrise. The artwork is installed in a partially external 26 metre long lightwell, through the core of an iconic heritage building in Sydney.

Jacky Redgate is part of the exhibition SNO 109: Abstract Photography at the SNO Contempoary in Sydney from 8 – 30 November 2014. Curated by Ruark Lewis, the exhibition includes artists Václav Krůček, Karin Lettau, Carl Plate, Rik Rue, Vsevolod Vlaskine and sound artist Thomas McConville.

NIKE SAVVAS' work is included in a curated group show titled Pattern, at Glen Eira City Council Gallery from 6 to 23 November 2014. The exhibition explores the use of geometric and abstract patterning in contemporary practice through the work of six artists, across a variety of mediums.

NIKE SAVVAS is currently part of a major group exhibition in London, Paradigm Store at Howick Place, a new landmark development at the heart of Victoria’s rapidly emerging cultural quarter. Spread across five floors and 80,000 sq ft of Howick Place, the exhibition looks at the interface between art and design and the latent socio-economic and political forces that underpin it through new and recent work by seventeen UK and international artists.
Paradigm Store runs from 25 September to 5 November 2014.

PETER DAVERINGTON’s phenomenal The Golden City Has Ceased (2012) is part of the Archibald Prize 2014 touring exhibition, currently at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. This will be the only venue in Victoria presenting the exhibition in 2014. The Archibald Prize was established at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1921 to award the best Australian Portraits of its time.

It’s the final week to see GUAN WEI’s extraordinary wall painting The Journey to Australia (2013) at the MCA in Sydney. Inspired by the arrival of immigrants and refugees to Australian shores, the work stems from the laden political and social commentaries surrounding the arrival of people to this country by boat.
The Journey to Australia is located at MCA’s Circular Quay entrance and is on display to 5 November.

PHAPTAWAN SUWANNAKUDT currently has a solo exhibition at 100 Tonson Gallery in Bangkok. Titled Days of (endless) Meaninglessness, the show explores the underlying layers of content in a set of photographs she took during her return to her hometown of Bangkok, amidst the country’s political turmoil of late 2013 to early 2014. The exhibition consists of 5 sets of acrylic on canvas triptychs, and will be on view from 16 October 2014 – 4 January 2015.

JANET LAURENCE will be part of Siteworks 2014, Bundanon Trust’s annual event, with a new site-specific commissioned installation inspired by Bundanon’s Living Landscape Project. The 2014 Siteworks will be held on the weekend of 27-28 September 2014 at the Bundanon site, and will turn its attention to ideas around biodiversity, with a particular focus on the concept of earth law.

JANET LAURENCE is part of the group exhibition What Marcel Duchamp Taught Me at The Fine Art Society Contemporary in London, UK’s oldest commercial gallery. This exhibition comes together one hundred years after Duchamp created the first readymade and is on from 10 October – 5 November 2014.
A statement by Janet Laurence featured in the exhibition catalogue:
"It’s difficult to imagine contemporary art if there hadn’t been Marcel Duchamp. He enabled me to make art that begins as an idea, letting the non-retinal to enter into the work process and its reading. His ‘serious’ playfulness enabled the imprinting of the instantaneous and elusive, a play between thoughts, the senses, chance and the occult."

Saftey Zone: A John Young Project is soon to be exhibited at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (M.A.D.E), in Ballarat. JOHN YOUNG’s body of works pays tribute to the 1937 event in China, where the lives of 300,000 Chinese citizens were saved by foreigners and sheltered in the city’s internal Safety Zone. The exhibition is on from 25 September – 2 November 2014.

DANI MARTI’s George, 2001, is currently on display at Newcastle Art Gallery, New South Wales, as part of the exhibition One From none: The minimal aesthetic in art. On display from 23 August – 16 November 2014, this show brings together a range of works from the Newcastle Art Gallery collection. It highlights the principle of actual space rather than the depicted space within an artwork, and artists like Dani Marti also pay particular attention to materiality.
